Other ways to give
Sell with eBay for Charity
Selling your unwanted items online can be a great way of earning some extra cash. Why not donate some of your profit to Epilepsy Society via the 'eBay for Charity' scheme.
How to sell on eBay
Using eBay for Charity couldn’t be easier. Follow these four simple steps to donate a percentage of your sale to Epilepsy Society.
- Create your listing – look for 'Donate percentage of sale'.
- Select Epilepsy Society as your chosen charity. Choose a percentage to donate.
- Collect payment from your buyer and ship the item.
- Make your donation.
Earn fee credits
As an extra bonus, every time you list an item for charity, you’ll get a fee credit equal to the percentage you donate. So if you donate 50% of your selling price to a charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees. There are more benefits linked to selling for a charity so check with eBay to get all the details.
Charity ribbon
eBay for Charity listings are the same as any other eBay listing, except that a blue and yellow eBay for Charity ribbon will appear next to your item in search results. Our mission statement and logo will also be shown with your listing.
This means that as well as your listing appearing to everyone who searches through eBay.co.uk, it will also get extra visibility through the eBay for Charity pages.
Buying on eBay
You can also support us on eBay when you are buying items. One way to do this is to add us to your list of favourite charities. This will generate a donation request when you are paying for items (which you can approve or ignore). Just go to Epilepsy Society on eBay and click on ‘save as favourite’.
Corporate giving
We know that the workplace can be a real force for good. Charity partnerships can help motivate staff and give you something special to tell your customers and shareholders. We can help your employees get involved in our work.
Payroll giving
Payroll giving is one of the best ways to donate to us. It gives us a reliable source of income to help us realise our vision of full life for everyone affected by epilepsy.
Giving land or buildings
Among the different ways in which people can support Epilepsy Society, a very small number may wish to give a gift of land or buildings. Although this type of gift is rare, it can be very significant in value.
Share giving
Did you know you can donate shares and investments to Epilepsy Society? By giving shares you can help us support the nearly half a million people with epilepsy in the UK and possibly earn yourself a double tax benefit at the same time.
