Science made simple
9 June 2021 7.30-8.30pm
The pandemic has made scientists of us all. But while genetics, DNA and virus mutations may feel like rocket science for most of us, for our researchers at the Epilepsy Society, they are part of their everyday work as they discover more about what happens when our genes go wrong. So we would like to invite you to join us for a free online talk and discussion with our scientists to learn more about your genes, DNA and the important role they play in your health.
In November 2018, the local community came together at Epilepsy Society for an afternoon of festive cheer. We enjoyed a Christmas Market, food and hot drinks and carol singing by the Gerrards Cross Rock Choir. Olaf the Snowman made a special appearance and Councillor Linda Smith turned on our Christmas lights. The event raised over £2800 for Epilepsy Society.
Bank Holiday Family Fun
Last summer, we invited the local community to join us for an afternoon of family fun. Whilst enjoying the brilliant weather, we held a dog show, enjoyed slices of fresh pizza and hosted tours of our ground-breaking research labs.
The National Society for the Employment of Epileptics (NSEE) was launched in 1892 by a group of London philanthropists and medical men.
Please see the events we have coming up in 2019.
