Neurontin 400mg capsules are out of stock in the UK

Neurontin (gabapentin) 400mg capsules are currently out of stock in the UK. The manufacturer, Pfizer, says this is due to a problem with the packaging.

They anticipate the formulation will be back in stock by early March. Other formulations of the medicine are unaffected.

Pfizer's Press Office says: "Patient safety is of the utmost importance to Pfizer. We work very hard to avoid medicines shortages but, despite our best efforts, unexpected delays can occur.  We would encourage any patients concerned about the supply interruption to consult with their treating healthcare professional and to remember that any changes to treatment should be made under medical supervision".

Please make an appointment with your GP or epilepsy specialist to discuss taking a different version of your medication.
