The Queen sends special letter of support to Epilepsy Society

We are delighted to share with you the news that we have received a letter from Her Majesty The Queen, thanking staff for their continued support of people with epilepsy across the UK, during these challenging times.

The Queen has been patron of the Epilepsy Society since 1952, and in that time we have been privileged to enjoy visits from both Her Majesty and other members of the Royal Family.

In her letter, sent from Windsor Castle, where the Queen, now 94, is self isolating with Prince Philip, she says: “I have been continually impressed by the excellent work of your staff in providing vital care for residents and members across the United Kingdom. As you adapt to the challenges of today, whilst still providing this essential support, it is my hope that your families and the wider community will continue to assist you practically and emotionally.

“My thoughts and prayers remain with all those concerned with the work of the Epilepsy Society.”

"As Patron of the Epilepsy Society, I send my best wishes to all those associated with the charity on the occasion of National Epilepsy Week 2020, which is being marked from 20th to 26th May.

I have been continually impressed by the excellent work of your staff in providing vital care for residents and members across the United Kingdom.
