Are you looking for work? We have jobs at the Epilepsy Society
We know just how hard the coronavirus is hitting families all across the country, with uncertainty about jobs and the anxiety that comes with being out of work.
At the Epilepsy Society we have many job opportunities, both temporary and permanent. We are looking for compassionate, caring people to join our amazing team of support workers. The work is rewarding and you could help to make a huge difference to the lives of people with disabilities. You do not need any special skills. We provide all the necessary training.
Support workers are key workers
We are based in Chalfont St Peter in Buckinghamshire where we provide care for 93 residents in our six care homes. And all our support workers are classed as key workers under the latest Government guidance, so their children automatically qualify for childcare while schools are closed due to the coronavirus.
If you are in our area – SL9 0RJ –why not give us a call?
Permanent support workers are paid £9.50 per hour; temporary bank support workers £9 per hour. Benefits include 27 days holiday, flexible shifts and a pension scheme.
Being a support worker involves helping to ensure that residents are able to lead the lives they choose, according to their individual preferences. In normal circumstances this can include a range of hobbies such as swimming, horse riding and ski-ing. With the challenges posed by Covid-19, entertainment is obviously more housebound.
If you would like find out more about becoming a support worker – either on a temporary or a permanent basis, please contact the Epilepsy Society at recruitment@epilepsysociety.org.uk or call 01494 601366 or 07936 360641. We look forward to hearing from you.
