6-hour online course providing delegates with an understanding of epilepsy, how to manage different types of seizures and administer emergency medication.

Objectives
At the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- give examples of how epilepsy can affect a person physically, socially and psychologically
- briefly describe how epilepsy is diagnosed and treated
- list the actions to take to support someone during a seizure
- describe the procedure to administer emergency medication
- identify safe management of emergency medication, including storage and disposal
- explain actions to take if problems occur during administration
- identify key aspects of any policies, procedures and responsibilities relating to the medication
