We need you to help look after our vulnerable residents

Hi. My name is Jonny.

Jonny Anders-Cannon

I am director of care for seven houses here at the Epilepsy Society. We have over 100 residents with complex disabilities and to be honest, we need your help. One fifth of our support workers are having to self isolate and we know the covid-19 crisis hasn’t yet peaked.

If you are sitting at home, unable to work but fit and well, please, please consider joining our team as a temporary/permanent support worker. Or come and volunteer with us.

We’re not asking for specialist skills, just kind, compassionate people willing to help.

All the details you need

Whether you are seeking temporary or permanent employment, have answered the NHS call out for retired nurses to help tackle Covid-19, or you are looking to work as a volunteer, we would love to hear from you at recruitment@epilepsysociety.org.uk or call 01494 601366 or 07936 360641.

Job opportunities

Support workers

We are looking for kind, compassionate people to join our amazing team of support workers. You do not need any special skills – we will provide all the training you need. But you could make a real difference to the lives of people with complex disabilities.

Many people, including some of our staff, are having to self isolate due to the coronavirus, so it is vital we boost the number of support workers  in our team in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.

Support workers are classed as key workers under the latest Government guidance, so their children automatically qualify for childcare while schools are closed due to the coronavirus.

Permanent support workers are paid £9.50 per hour; temporary bank support workers £9 per hour. Benefits include 27 days holiday, flexible shifts and a pension scheme.

Contact us at recruitment@epilepsysociety.org.uk or call 01494 601366 or 07936 360641.

Retired nurses

Are you a retired nurse who has signed up to help the NHS cope with Covid-19? We are looking for nurses to  support our team at  Epilepsy Society in Chalfont St Peter, Bucks. If you can help, please contact us at recruitment@epilepsysociety.org.uk or call 01494 601366 or 07936 360641.

Volunteers

We are also asking members of the community in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area, to join a register of volunteers who would be willing to help us out when there are staff shortages caused by the coronavirus.

We are looking for people who would be able to offer a friendly smile, a chat or a helping hand with tasks such as shopping and cooking. It is rewarding work and could make a big difference to the residents who live in our care homes.

If you would like to join our register, please contact us at volunteer@epilepsysociety.org.uk or call 01494 601313.
